Filter Out Cooking Smells and Grease

How Can I Get Rid of Cooking Odor and Grease in My Kitchen?

Eliminate cooking odors and grease from your kitchen with a quality filter.

A lot of people are unaware that there is even a filter above their stove, so let's talk about it!

Why Are There Filters in Residential Kitchen Hoods?

The filters in these home kitchen hoods are designed to keep your stove less greasy and to keep the air in your home from smelling like the food you've cooked!

Range filters, grease filters, hood filters, people call them by all sorts of names, but they all do the same job. There are thousands of sizes and materials depending on your equipment.

In general, the mesh in those filters are to capture the grease so it doesn't get through the ductwork – which can cause a fire hazard. In addition, some filters have other features like light bulbs and carbon filters.

Carbon Filters

The carbon pads in many filters are meant to absorb cooking odors.

Do All Filters Have Carbon Pads?

Nope! If your hood exhausts outdoors into the environment, you don't need this. However, if your hood exhausts the air back into the kitchen, then that's when you would see a carbon pad.
